Kalbi BBQ, located in the heart of Montreal on St. Laurent Blvd, is carving out a niche in the city's vibrant dining scene. This Korean barbecue restaurant has garnered a loyal following, thanks to its unique dining experience where patrons grill their own food right at their tables. Reviews highlight the generous all-you-can-eat menu, which features a delightful selection of meats, vegetables, and sushi, all praised for their freshness and flavor.
Guests, like Ingrid Duffy, noted the lively atmosphere enhanced by quirky touches like cat-themed robot waiters, which add a playful element to the meal. Many diners, including Philip and Caitlin Innis, applauded the quality of the marinated meats, particularly the pork belly and miso beef, as well as the unlimited side dishes that complement the main offerings beautifully.
While the pricing is on the higher side—averaging around $60 per person including tips—multiple reviewers affirm it's a worthy indulgence for the experience and food quality you receive. The two-hour sitting limit allows for efficient service without sacrificing quality, making Kalbi BBQ a must-visit for anyone craving a fun and delicious night out with friends or family. This is my second visit. Its a favorite so far. This is a place where you grill your own food right at your table. There is a good selection of food, both grill-able and really good sushi. There's different meats, veggies, and so on to keep you happy. It's all you can eat, so it's pricier like those are. They also charge you for uneaten pieces (not a problem for my party, we ate it all). So order the dishes according to how hungry you are and don't go nuts. There's drinks (non alcohol and with alcohol) for sale (not included in the all you can eat price), and deserts (some are included, some not). You get a 2 hour sitting limit (I assume so they can get more customers in). I found it was enough for my party, because the food came quickly (and we were 2 people). TWe tried to reserve in advance for a Friday dinner, and they said they don't reserve on weekends, which I thought was weird, but we just came earlier that the time the recommended we come before to ensure a seat. Also: you get served by cute cat themed robot 'waiters'. Tldr: Pricy, but worth it.

Fresh meats, tasty marinades, and great service! We were served by Matt and he was attentive and efficient. The pork belly and miso beef were especially delicious, and the side dishes were flavorful and unlimited. Fun, lively atmosphere with cute lights and cat robots, perfect for group dinners. Will definitely be back!

Went there last night with a few friends. What an amazing experience it was. The reservation was for 18:00 and upon arriving earlier, we were still able to find our table and even get some food delivered to us. The orders were easy to make. Make sure you have a phone with you and you’re all set. They will come by quickly with your plates. If you aren’t served by one of the staff members, there’s a good chance you’ll be aided by a literal robot on wheels that meows. My friends and I were completely shocked to see that thing. Honestly I recommend this place to anyone that has the money for it. In total it came out at around 60 per person (tips included) so it’s not exactly cheap but it’s definitely worth it. I really enjoyed my time there. I hope this place gets the recognition it definitely deserves.

I love this place! The food is always fresh and for an amazing price. I always have a great time coming here. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars for the atmosphere is because they need a better ventilation system. Last time I was there I was choking for at least 30 min because of the smoke inside. Also make sure you get a reservation otherwise you'll have to wait in a long line to get inside.

Amazing food and even better service!!! We went there for my friend's birthday party and our waitress susanna sang happy birthday to her with a little bun and candle on it which was fun. She was really helpful throughout the night and always had a nice smile on :) The food was great and honestly if you have the money to go eat all you can eat sushi you could come here to eat all you can eat sushi AND bbq at the same time

Very very good food and quality, service from our little robot was fast too. I tried a drink special “Whiskey Peach Iced Tea” which was well balanced with whisky and sweet tea. It was 43/person on a Sunday night
